it is Wednesday my dudes which means it's time for another first loss and initial Impressions epic 7 video this one will be on fenis the main character of episode 5 of Epic 7 as with all of these first impressions videos I'll give you my two cents on the character do I think they're good where would I play them what kinds of equipment I would play them on what kinds of artifacts all that stuff you've come to expect from me any first thoughts and initial Impressions video so without any further Ado let's take a look at fen's as animation my adventure is just beginning it's been a while since I felt this good until my final shot will never yield Nothing in life is easy once again the E7 art team and animation team delivers I actually really like that S3 for how simplistic it is it kind of really conveys the power behind the shop by giving you those like freeze frames from different perspectives it's super cool in my opinion speaking of super cool fen's English voiceover artist is Max middleman who's voiced some of my favorite characters in the world of video games and Anime in the last 10 years or so he's the voice of ryuji in Persona 5 as well as Persona 5 royal red 13 in Final Fantasy 7 remake as well as rebirth but for most of you he's going to be most well known as the voice of one punch man himself saitama and keep keep that in mind because I think it's really funny given this character's kit that they got saitama to voice him moving on to F's stats he is an earth Ranger of the Tara zodiac symbol which means he shares a stat line with Commander pavle taking a look at his stats he has 1327 attack 582 defense 5,138 Health 109 base speed 233% critical hit chance 150% critical hit damage and no stting effectus or effect resistance the imprint for the team is going to be attack percentage for the top and front positions and then attack percentage for his self imprint overall Fenris has ridiculous attack for a ranger I believe it's the highest actually in all of Epic 7 it is amongst the highest in the entire game anything over 1300 is pretty insane there's only like three characters over 1400 and there's probably only maybe I want to say like five or six that are in the 1300 range to begin with so yeah fenis is absolutely a heavy hitter but comes at the expense of having absolutely garbage Health garbage defense okay speed and some starting critical hit chance basically the character is all in on attack if you want more of it feel free to pick up dupes for the character but attack percentage as a dupe isn't really the most important one to pick up usually you want things like critical hit chance percentage when it comes to DPS as always before we have an analyses of the character let's talk about what each of the character skills do first first starting with F's S2 passive unwavering will starts the first battle with 50 fighting Spirit after an ally suffers an extra attack Counterattack or dual attack gains 50 fighting spirit and uses soaring Arrow the effect after being attacked can only be activated once every two turns soaring Arrow leaps backward and attacks all enemies before dispelling one debuff from all allies increases the combat Readiness of Fenris by 30% next up is skill three strike of Fate you have to consume 75 fighting Spirit to activate it but acquire three Souls upon use after gaining greater attack buff on Fenris for three turns attacks the enemy with Resolute arrows when the enemy's Max health is greater than fen's Max Health damage dealt increases proportional to the difference up to 70% do note that it is a damage dealt increase not a damage penetration increase and finally fen's basic skill m magic Arrow attacks the enemy with a magic arrow and increases the speed of fenis for one turn when it's Fenris is turn gains 25 fighting Spirit that's basically the game's way of saying don't play this character on counter set soulburn effect for the cost of 10 Souls increases the damage dealt of magic Arrow lastly let's talk about fenis as artifact normally I talk about it after my impressions of the video but for me to properly articulate I think what makes this character good in some spots we need to at least talk about renewed will it increases the attack of all allies by 5 to 10% depending on artifact level and after attacking all enemies has a 50 to 100% chance based on artifact level to increase the combat Readiness of all allies by 15% this effect can only be activated once every three turns and only one hero on a team can have the skill of renewed will now that we know about the kit and the character's artifact let's talk about Fenris me person ly I think Fenris is one of the best design Heroes that we've seen in Epic 7 in a long time he's not one of these BS overpowered recent releases like New Moon Luna or some of the recent reworks that are really strong like death dealer Ray or ambitious Tywin now make no mistake he's absolutely going to be weak to those meta characters so I don't really think he's going to set the world on fire or break this game but what makes me like him is that he's an honest to goodness character that turn one players can use in PvP turn two players could use in PvP and even if PVP isn't your thing I still think that PVE players are going to get a lot of value out of so let's start by tabling back to his skill three strike of fate or as I'm calling [Music] it okay I'm sorry I couldn't resist making the joke all right back on track given the fact that this character has over 1,300 attack and and absolutely dismal starting health I think it's going to be pretty easy for most of us to meet the conditions on this thing to hit like an absolute truck having over 4,000 over 5,000 attack is probably not out of the question because that's where Commander pavle lands most of the time and he's got the same exact attack stat but what Commander pavle doesn't have is built-in greater attack buff like Fenris so yeah I bet you whatever the hell this character shoots it's going to probably end up dying pretty EAS for Cleavers I think this character can function a lot like Watcher shy or as we've been talking about Commander pavle for you turn two players I think he could be your Bruiser or tank Buster to tip a match in your favor and for those of you who are PVE Enthusiast I think he's going to be doing Giga damage to all the bosses that you're fighting since well he's got only like 5,000 base HP and they have hundreds of thousands of Health easily let's move on now and talk about his passive unwavering well for my lionhearted faithful out there you should know what this passive is it should look really familiar to you because this is basically Seri as passive but it doesn't get gutted by C Phantom polus like she did prior to her rework sadly doesn't fully cleanse Fenris like Seria so if he stunt that sucks but it does give you a lot of value up front with that soaring Arrow dishing out some aooe damage oh and also he's not weak to non-attack skill punishes so you could be thankful that someone on your team doesn't just die to Seline because you wanted your character to actually be able to use their kit anyways as I was saying soaring Arrow when this AOE goes off it's going to trigger his artifact renewed will if you have it on him which is going to push up not only fenis but his entire team this is going to allow you to use strike of Fate to essentially one punch man somebody and remove them from the fight this is great for those of you out there who are Cleavers and I suspect that Fenris will end up replacing lionhardt Seria as a popular counterpick due to the mini Sasha effect that this artifact has and the fact that Fenris can play around Heroes like blood moon haste and dragon bride senya one of the main advantages that Fenris has over Seria is that his ultimate is single Target which lets him avoid a lot of The Accidental issues that lionhardt Seria suffers from you know triggering random passives like janua when you don't want to or eating a stray Landy Salvo to the face he doesn't really have those issues or at least in the case of Landy they should occur hopefully a lot less frequently as for you turn two players you can get a lot of value I feel like out of fenis by sitting him in stealth with The Guiding Light artifact behind a hero like say maybe Dragon bride senya or blood moon haste essentially you sit there you wait for a counter extra dual attack he shoots up with soaring arrow and then you get to dismantle a key piece of their team with strike of eight boom that tips the skills in your favor and hopefully allows you to win the game and for you PVE players out there the passive triggers in almost all of the same spots that rana's Vigilant I would trigger as well as biblis I guess and her as to I'm warning you I cannot wait for someone to post up their rwana plus biblis plus Fenris plus fourth member a doing something in Nightmare raid perhaps Queen for example right Tristan if you're watching that's your Q new video idea you're welcome so yeah like I said at the start of this section I think this character is great for epic 7 players of all types whether you're PVP centered or PVE centered he's still going to get rolled in my opinion by a lot of the meta characters out there but there's just enough room I think for this character to carve out his own spot in the meta especially in CLE even if the character is just not super good in PvP I'm fairly confident he's going to find a nice comfy home somewhere on some PVE team whether that's raid Abyss for the influx of new players for the sixth anniversary uh Expedition on like hopeless zcis or something hell he's already shown in the trailer being used at Hall of Trials so maybe he's a main stay of Hall of trials for all I know as for how i' build him speed and destruction seem like the no-brainer sets on the character if we're just trying to maximize stats they're going to give us the most amount of bang for our buck basically revenge and like attack aren't as good and counters out because of the stipulation on the skill one torrent and penetration as the offset depending on whether you want to maximize the S2 that would be torrent or the S3 penetration right those also seem like the best options if you don't have either crits going to be okay right as for the artifacts I already talked about it but Cleavers I think you're definitely going to want to go all in on renewed will pick up a bunch of copies of it to maximize the chance of getting that CR push maximize that team wide attack I think that's really really good for that aggressive turn one style but for the rest of us out there who are standard Gamers it's Guiding Light as usual I don't really see that changing for PVE any damage based artifact based on you're doing is probably fine whether that's like Daydream Joker if it actually works on the boss or hell even something like cruel Mischief in Hall of Trials personally I would like to see how this character fails on Bloodstone I think with the sheer amount of damage he's going to be putting out with his S3 that's like a full heal I think that'd be pretty funny let's go guys come on let's make it a team rwana biblis Fenris on Bloodstone man nothing's going to die I think this will just be really funny to experiment around with all in all though I think Fenris is a pretty solid character I don't think he's a must pull unit especially because he's not limited but he looks like a lot of fun and again he could be using a lot of different scenarios so I'm personally going to be pulling for him I'm hoping to pick him up and try and mess around with him in a lot of different game modes but now it's time for me to hear from you let me know how you feel about Fenris in the comments section below and if I missed anything in the analysis let me know down there as well as always enjoy the rest yesterday the rest of your week and be on the lookout for my horti Impressions whenever she may drop in fact by the time this video comes out she may have already dropped anyways have a good one now
