all right so I am continuing on with uh another 2024 schedule preview this time taking a look at the Oregon Ducks new members of the Big 10 conference the schedule will be extremely different of course and Oregon has spent a lot of money through the portal Dylan Gabriel coming aboard they have definitely invested into their program and they very likely will be I would say a preseason I think the consensus right now is they're going to be ranked fifth but it really doesn't matter fourth fifth sixth somewhere in that range I would say in terms of their preseason AP ranking we're going to go through their schedule just looking at it interesting the two off weeks September 21st so that's week four and then all the way November 23rd the second to last week right before Thanksgiving another off week for Oregon very spread out in terms of the by weeks which could help them especially if they get into the Big 10 championship game getting that rest although they will get Washington at home they're on the 30th but beginning with Idaho on the 31st of August so that'll be like the first main College Football Saturday amazing 7:30 game on Big 10 Network yes Idaho the FCS team at Oregon is a Big 10 Network game exclusively just like we all predicted so that'll be a 4:30 Pacific start time there in Eugene and I would expect they're going to be I mean normally with FCS teams they release the game line on the day of the game the morning of the game they'll probably be like minus 52 or something I would expect them to win like 66 to S around there the second week you do have Boise stayed at home 10 o'clock game on the dreaded peacock so the streaming uh but yeah boys that's going to be a fun game there and I would expect Oregon to win that one they're going to be favorites and that could really end up being a good resume booster for Oregon you're at home you're more talented it's early in the season you're very likely to win it's not like you have a huge chance of getting up set and also on top of that Boise e State relatively easy schedule in the Mountain West let's say they go on a run possibly finish inside of the top 15 that becomes a really good win if you are Oregon and let's say you have three losses at the end of the year that's a nice resume booster nonconference wise I would expect them to beat Boise State but Boise State I would say right now when it comes to predictions everyone's trying to predict you know what's the One auto bid group of five team most people I I've heard say are saying Boise State is that team but uh we will have to see and then week three they're at Oregon State that'll be a 3:30 game so 12:30 Pacific time there at Oregon State and this is a non-conference game it'll be interesting Oregon state did lose a ton I would expect Oregon kind of in the CI is it called the Civil War anymore did they call it racist or something yeah they like called the Civil War the name of it racist or insensitive like three years ago somebody said that and they changed the name of it very very odd I I don't understand the issue there but I would expect them to beat Oregon State Oregon State got their team completely poached because they got devalued basically dropping down to a group of five program they've got the first by week or off week I guess it's college so it's an off week on the 21st so week four then they're at UCLA kind of a traditional Pack 12 type matchup the rose bll I don't know if I can even predict a start time for that game Oregon at UCLA what is UCLA going to do this year maybe that'll be like a 3:30 game or 7:30 game I would think maybe CBS will pick that game up for three the 3:30 window then they have a Friday game yes Michigan State they host them on a Friday night fox is doing this thing where there's like well well Oregon's on it twice actually that's unfortunate for them so Oregon will be on the Friday night October 4th and October 18th two out of three weeks they're going to be on the Friday night game at Michigan State in Eugene I would expect them to win that game atively easily we'll see with Michigan State they've got a few transfers the transfer QB from Oregon State and then they get Ohio state so they will have one more day in terms of rest because it's a Friday game and they get like eight days to prepare or I guess seven days one extra day to prepare for that Ohio State game when it comes to that Ohio State game do I think it could be a 1v2 matchup probably not it really depends what happens with Georgia Georgia would have to lose in week one to Clemson or in week four to Alabama but the issue is Alabama might jump Ohio State and Oregon if they beat Georgia so I'm not sure if the Ohio State Oregon game can ever be a 1v2 it's probably going to be 2v3 because I don't see Ohio State losing at all before facing Oregon and I cannot see Oregon losing I mean look at those game you could maybe make an argument I I don't know I don't see them losing before the Ohio State game then they face Ohio state that game very likely to be a 7:30 NBC game they're at Purdue in another Friday game quick turnaround everyone's going to be talking about that game possibly being an upset because of the crazy Ohio State game at home the short week on a Friday I don't think they're going to lose to Purdue but Purdue at home they do have a lot of upsets it's an8 o'clock game on Fox on a Friday and they get Illinois at home just very random strange matchup Illinois at Oregon middle of the season right before Halloween that game very likely to be looks like 3:30 or 7:30 I mean obviously it's not going to be noon because this is a Pacific you know team I don't know when it'll start maybe 7:30 but uh I can't even predict that then they are at Michigan so that's another huge game and I don't know who's going to take this game I would imagine NBC and CBS are probably going to fight over it because Fox got several picks and I don't think this was one of the games that they picked so this will be either a 3:30 or 7:30 game I would expect I don't think this will be on big noon and I would prefer it to be on NBC at 7:30 should be a really good matchup not too sure on Michigan's record going into this one but Oregon very likely to be a top five top seven type team then they get Maryland at home on the 9th of November that probably going to be a 330 game pretty standard Maryland not expected to be too good this year at Wisconsin on the 16th not a fun matchup there Camp Randall late in the year possibly a 330 start possible snow I mean it's not like Oregon's a crazy warm weather team but it'll be interesting then they get an off week really late in the season and then they close with Washington at home I do not think Washington's going to be very good I think they're going to take a major step back it would not surprise me at all if Washington was going into that game against Oregon with like a six and five record I know people look at that game you know at the end of the year and say wow that's going to be tough for Oregon right before the Big 10 Championship if they make it facing Washington I just don't think Washington's going to be very good this year I think they're going to probably be six and six maybe seven and five they've lost so much and their schedule gets a lot harder than it has been in the past and then the Big 10 championship game on CBS that would be the next week so diagnosing this Oregon schedule I think it starts off relatively easy the Boise State game you might argue at Oregon State it's a rivalry I don't see it I think they start off 3 and0 they get the bye at UCLA should be a win Michigan stay at home is a win the huge game against Ohio State at Purdue could be sneaky hard Illinois is a free win at Michigan's going to be hard but it's winnable Maryland's basically a free win at Wisconsin's going to be annoying but you know it's very winnable they get a bye-week and then I think they will pretty much guaranteed to beat Washington so I would say one maybe two losses the Ohio State game could be problematic the Michigan game on the road could be problematic maybe a possible upset scenario at Purdue after an emotional Ohio State game but or again very very likely to make the playoff considering now that it is expanded to 12 teams but guys that is going to do it for this video
