e e e e e e e and the threes that came in I thought they played extremely hard and and uh I wanted to keep that shut out and then you know to score all 10 times that you get the ball um well I guess it's never been done before so that was really good with those guys and I was I was pleased with all our quarterbacks um when Malachi came in thought he did a wonderful job of running the offense and then KJ got the last series I think it was a right thing to do to go to 10-minute quarters in the second half uh but we did want to play KJ a little bit more if it got to that situation but um we I think we all saw what he's capable of doing and um and uh Ramsey made all his extra points so that that was good and and we we'll move on after you all get done talking to us we'll move on to Oklahoma State yes Sam um The Run game real impressive in the first half I think your first four touchdowns were all Russians when you can think about the struggles last year against NCS team you know here in a little rock just how good was what you think of the Run game and just how good it to see guys dominate like that yeah I I thought our running backs ran really hard you know I think J quinon Jackson proved that you know he can run over you he can make you miss he also caught a nice ball out of the back field uh but our offensive line you know we didn't they didn't they didn't pressure us much but um you know I don't know that ton got hit I think he got flushed out of the pocket when he ran the line long one but um I think our offensive line we needed a game like this for some confidence to Jael together and uh um I thought coach matteas did a really good job of getting them ready and our backs ran extremely hard you know Braden Russell I think I don't know how long it was eight or nine 10 yards something down there ran really hard tyell Reed came in Ran really hard uh so I think I think we we have you know we've got about four or five backs right now that uh Kobe Smith's done a nice job of of getting them where they're running with a lot of power and and doing a good job how about about talking about the backs how about Jackson it get 81 or 101 yards in the first half yeah I mean again he I think he show what he can do you know he can run over you I think on our sideline he lowered his head or lowered his shoulder and ran over guy and in the next play made two or three kind of in the hole Miss and and like I said he caught a really nice ball out of the back field so I like the group of backs we have because they're all a little bit different and uh but JJ rushan eight times for 101 yards that was good job for him and a good job of the offensive line tight ends and wide outs blocking for him what's your assessment of uh Ton's performance and just how good was it to see his his creativity his AB his ability to kind of maximize some broken plays tonight well I mean we've seen him at practice we you know we obviously felt like he would play somewhat like he did U probably the the thing that um we didn't know was how well he would run you know we knew he was fast but we just hadn't seen it you know uh but the the the broken play coming down uh UAP pb's sideline there uh going north uh that was that's a hard run that was a hard play because he had to come all the way across and he had to speed but I thought he threw the ball well we took care of the ball we didn't don't believe we had any turnovers and and uh but more importantly I think he ran the offense and and uh I tell you we had some fantastic catches tonight too just I mean I know Tai Wasington had one I know Tesla had one I mean just some fantastic grabs out there credit to Ronnie and what he's teaching those guys and to the kids but I thought taen played about like what we thought he would he we think pretty highly of him seemed like the defensive line was able to get pressure even when some of the backups were in there how good was that to cease you know yeah we you know Quincy uh Quincy roads we kept him in a little bit more than most of the twos um because he was substituting with Landon and we you know we we play Landon more than the other guys you know and and uh so we kept him in there I thought I I saw some spark out of him uh kie you hit it I think JJ Hollingsworth went in there and played well um so we have to continue to develop that depth and and uh I think we got a we had a good head on that tonight Samuel took a shot on the first play of the game Taylor Maybe under threw it a little bit but did you like the aggressiveness there from coach patrino and then also how do you think Taylor you like how he bounced back from that play yeah uh we were throwing into a little bit of a win there was a little bit more win than it was eight miles an hour but um a little bit more win he just didn't throw the ball well on that one uh but you know when when uh talked to Bobby this morning about the first play I said oh well and you know we ran a similar different protection but a similar route uh in the first scrimmage that came wide open to satain it on the crossing route but Broden ran by the guy and we thought those were the two was a Crossing deep Crosser with sat or the go route with with uh broaden and he elected he should have he threw it to the right guy just under threw it and then I don't think a whole lot fases tailin to be honest with you I think he's I think he's a grown man you know in his mind you've talked a lot about the offensive line I don't know how much you were able to watch am Maran specifically but I'm curious what you thought of you know his first start well I think I think he did a good job you know I I do feel like they bowled him a little bit I I could feel that a little bit in in the pass rush you know what we did with him is we you know he obviously started at left guard and then when we put the twos in he went to left tackle we needed that we needed to he needed that um so we could see that uh where he is at that spot now I thought he played really well out at left tackle for The Limited I don't know if he played one or two drives in the second half I think just one but it was maybe a eight-play drive maybe and uh so I was really happy with him and and uh glad he was being able to get a captain be a captain Nico here Eric from Memphis and obviously Isaiah being from the state so I thought that was pretty cool I kind of like that idea to be honest with you and you get 48 guys that get to feel that Captain and then you know in between the the postseason we can figure out that's how they did it at Georgia I always wondered why Kirby did that I didn't ask him uh and I I changed it or change I went the other way um but I I think it meant something to those kids and Nico played a really good game you know so um I don't know you didn't ask about that but everything goes smooth on the sidelines um with the new technology and the in hel communication I really did you know I didn't talk to Trey I didn't talk to the guys about you know the the iPads you know I didn't talk to them and see how that went you know after haven't T spoke with them yet obviously we'll cover that uh tomorrow in a meeting but uh now both coordinators are down you know and and uh so that's that's probably somewhat different you know maybe you'll have somebody I remember Barry went down maybe a year or two or in the middle of a year or two or something uh but uh I think that allows you to you can see it on you know you can talk to the kid you see the play on the iPad and and uh but it went really well the communication went well you know the quarterbacks didn't seem to have a problem now wasn't you know wasn't loud like it's going to be next week you know but we we've already worked Crow noise uh six days uh during the 25 practices we've had uh getting ready for uh crowd noise for the season specifically obviously Oklahoma State um but I think it went really well and Jaden Johnson had it in on on defense and and his position and so I think it went pretty good um um you guys are busting back tonight taking off I guess tomorrow and then what's what's kind of the schedule jumping into well it really you know we talked about it this morning as a staff and I I think it really works out for us um uh the kids will be off tomorrow we'll have an early practice on Saturday so obviously we'll get together tomorrow then we'll we'll have a Monday tag practice for Oklahoma State now we don't have any new film so we're waiting we're waiting on that uh by the time we get through with practice be about the time uh they start playing we'll we'll be through about 12:30 on Saturday and they play at 1 and then we'll come back the kids will then get off Sunday and now they can come in if they'd like and watch you know watch stoklahoma State cut ups and all that but uh and then we're going to have Dre a Monday a little Tuesday on Monday tu Tuesday a little Wednesday on Tuesday uh so we'll gain a Monday practice and then we'll kind of gain a third of a practice if you know what I mean until we get to Thursday and then that'll just be a straight Thursday practice and certainly travel on Friday I think Jordan Anthony caught three out of five targets we didn't hear a ton about him in Camp but just what did you like from him you know I think you can ask the players and you can ask taen and all that but I think Jordan maybe over the last seven to 10 days has really upped his game and uh I you know he can run obvious we know we didn't get a we didn't get a sweep with him today but he certainly can do that and you know again you talked about I think you talked about Tor on the first throw well he dropped his first pass I believe and then came back and got the other ones and some of them were difficult catches and all that so you know he's never played played you know he's in his he's transferred and he's ran track but he's really never played football uh at the college level until today and I thought he did a nice job and then with Isaiah satania he had a couple of big plays come back with penalties but just on those plays what did you see and and what did you like from his game well we knew that we knew that uh we we felt like they would they would punt it low to us you know there wasn't a lot of Hang Time on the punt so we felt like Isaiah would have an opportunity and then Bryce came in and had one as well and uh that's what we get got clean up it's a shame because you know we take a touchdown away from a kid not only about the points but you know the whole team did a really wonderful job and then we had a had a grab and uh but I I I've really liked Isaiah in the this year he's bigger he's stronger he's more confident and he's catching balls he's catching contested balls I just think he's really matured a lot and I'm really proud of him he played well the day Sam brillan Russell he had just 23 yards but he also had a touchdown he averaged seven yards to carry in just his limited action what you think about his play oh man I'm so happy for him you know coming back here and he got a touch I don't know if he hit anybody I mean he ran really hard in there I think it was pretty oh they may have hit his legs and you didn't you wouldn't know it you know but uh I had it had to be a thrill for him it was a thrill for me to watch him you know because he couldn't win a lot of places he chose the Hogs like Nico standing back there and and uh uh and he ends up having a good game and then brilin ends up coming in scoring a touchdown in his first Collegiate game for the Hogs pretty special coach I didn't see anybody with heat related cramps I don't know if I saw anybody get injured what's that say about the team would yeah I think Ben sers his group do a wonderful job with the kids but I tell you what our our guys practice hard you know and and if you practice hard and I thought we had a pretty good idea as a coaching staff about heat indoors heat indoors where we were fresh but yet we would be ready to play at the same time so the kids trust us you know and and uh uh this team's pretty special as far as that Bond goes and and uh so therefore I think it has a lot to do with how they practice uh these 25 practices and how they're in shape along with Ben saers and his staff getting them to Camp Sam obviously this was you know Bobby had some big wins here over LSU and some other teams and just what what's did you get from Bobby patrino being on the sidelines and you know the offense goes 10 for 10 touchdown what you feel how about how Bobby did tonight maybe what this game meant meant to him well um he's a really good coach you know and and I've I've I've developed a really good relationship with him and I I'm I bet he has with me as well you know but uh the kids believe in him I believe in him the team believes in him uh but to go now the kids got executed you know whatever you call they they have to execute it and they did a good job with that but Bobby I'm sure he feels pretty good I mean tonight 10 10 tries and 10 touchdowns that's that's hard to do I don't I don't care who you play so I'm I'm really happy for him and and uh told the team I think it's the first time in the history that that's happened happened and happened when Bobby came back the Legend's going to continue to grow good for him he deserves it maybe just a [Music] coincidence e T just walk us through that uh that crazy rushing touchdown there in the second quarter right before halftime what did you see and uh when you took off did you did you feel like you could get to the end zone did you know that was kind of going to be the end of the play um at first you know I looked at first my keys and what I have to do and the routes and I felt you know pressure to my right and escaped the pocket and I knew it was a two minute and I was first was going to throw it away um but you know I decided to run and I told myself you know if I decide to run you know of course the clock keeps rolling if I get tackled so I was like I better score you know I cross the field and you know saw saw Green Grass and I just you know let my speed do the rest J quinon uh you know what do you think about your game tonight first time as a Razer back and more specifically maybe what you saw from the offensive line creating BS not only for you but all the running backs tonight uh I was just having fun having fun with the guys just flying around the field and uh o line did great tonight uh had a 100 in the first half pess for nothing better T what was your reaction when you found out the what the first play was going to be you know taking a shot and then you know how how were you able to kind of bounce back from that you know after you know maybe under throwing it a little bit I love it you know this the aggressive nature you know coach patrino you know me and Ty and Zan was talking about the play um leading up to it and you know of course I under through it and he was open you know I'm that's something I gotta get better at um but you know it's a next play mentality you know it's not always going to be I'm not always gonna make the everything I mean I hope so but um just it's it's all about just sticking to the next play and you know what Coach P says and flushing it on to the next could you walk us to the play too where you do the touchdown to Tai WatchON it looked like that may have been one of your better throws of the night yeah that's that's straight driller I mean we uh quarterbacks coach we work that every single day you know when when there're special teams we're always you know on the tur field work in that you know exact look and that exact play and you know when we saw CH that's drill work and just the that just praise to you know tie for you know
