Hollywood live with Tanya Hart har I was with my longtime friend Lee Daniels just before his new movie Deliverance dropped on August 16th I could not attend the premiere but did try to watch it this weekend and decided H I wasn't quite in the mood for a horror Thriller on a holiday weekend but since then Lee has been scorched on social media for casting Glenn Close as audre day's Mother in the movie now Lee posted this weekend on X that he expressed his gratitude to close for her portrayal and insisted that Alberta reflects a common figure within Black Culture some critics aren't happy about Lee saying that because the film is based on true events and critics are questioning the need for a white character in a story that centers around a black family and their experiences well honey the outrage intensified as commentators highlighted that the real life inspiration for the film involved an actual black grandmother which does contradict Lee's assertion about the character let me just say this Glenn close always brings her aame and so does Lee I am so sure folks are going to have a lot more to say about this one though so stay tuned keep it locked right here we will keep you updated and have you noticed that Supreme Court Justice katangi Brown Jackson has hit the book tour circuit with her Memoir called lovely one well she talks about how her family really embraced democracy in the American dream I cannot wait to read this and I have to say judge Jackson Brown you're looking good and sounding great on every interview I've seen oh and speaking of all that we got some great video interviews for you right here at A's YouTube channel so check it out this week I will be with the Braxton sisters from the braxon family values TV show on W TV [Music]
