well it is the beginning of MLB season and we do have a few teams that have separated themselves not in the right way but in the wrong way we're going to be talking about the Oakland Athletics there is another thing that has come out with them potentially punishing players for wearing wristbands and it seems honestly pretty legitimate based on the moves that have been made they make no sense and then we're also going to be talking about the Chicago a white socks and they're just horrible situation I didn't realize how bad this white socks team was going to be until I looked at their preseason win total but let's get to the a situation first undoubtedly one of the worst situations we've seen in North American professional sports in the last I would say decade maybe two decades this team is just not competitive they don't want to be in Oakland the fans are boycotting them another game last night they lost N9 to nothing they're going to lose 110 games again they're going to average under 10,000 fans it is catastrophic and they're talking about a potential lease extension in the city but what's the recent stuff we've got on the A's they seem to be punishing players several of their at least decent players being sent down benched because the players were wearing The Wristband the last d dive bar and you can kind of understand the idea of the last Dive Bar it being the Coliseum we all know it's the worst Stadium it is the last remaining multi-purpose it should not exist at this point but because of the dispute in terms of building Howard terminal the Coliseum is still up and it might host the Oakland Athletics for the next three years if the lease extension gets agreed although I would not necessarily expect that but I mean this is just pathetic man man this remember this is the same team that turned off their own replies under their tweets I don't know how that's permitted if you're MLB you have to say look we understand you're going to get hate in the comments but you're a you're a professional sports team this is embarrassing you can't turn off your replies but they've done just that and it started really in the offseason and it's come on into the regular season their replies are still turned off you cannot reply to the Oakland Athletics Twitter account because I guess they're concerned about all the hate that they'll they'll take and now they're sending their only good players down you know a good young player saying he needs to work on not striking out I would imagine it's just an excuse they're just angry at him because he wore this wristband the dude started off he had a great first series against the Guardians it's just so bad the Oakland situation and MLB cannot like this we will see what happens when it comes to their potential lease extension but right now it is one of the worst situations I've seen in modern you know really North American Sports history with how uncompetitive the team is the fans hate the owner the owner doesn't want to be there but they have to stay there they don't even have shovels in the ground on the new stadium in Las Vegas they haven't even knocked down the Tropicana hotel which is where the stadium is going to be and we're already dealing with these issues and I mean these were issues that happened last year they were protests last year as well the attendance was terrible the team was horrifically historically bad and the Oakland Athletic situation somehow keeps getting worse to the point where players are wearing wristband saying the last dive bar I mean I guess I can understand the team getting angry about that but the Coliseum is just awful it is what it is so that's the update on the Oakland Athletic situation they're sending players down they're benching players because I would presume of a wristband otherwise it just makes no sense and then moving on to another horrible situation the Chicago White Socks the White Sox had the genius idea to randomly play an early April Monday Day game that was not a home opener and it was just terrible weather the Cubs home opener was happening at the same time nobody went they had like an hour and a half rain deay delay they didn't even have a first base coach like in the eighth inning what is what an absolute debacle for the Chicago White Socks and it's not getting any better anytime soon now obviously the white sock situation is not nearly as bad as the A's with them being in the AL Central you could see you know what their ownership does sometimes spend money maybe next year if they offload load some players I would imagine they're going to trade all of their good players at the deadline you would at least hope to really Kickstart a rebuild the white sacks would at least be back to contention in a few years and maybe that's their strategy now we know the White Sox situation they do not like where their current stadium is located they have I would say one of the top five or six worst stadiums in MLB it's not nearly as bad as the Coliseum but it's still not a good situation the attendance is going to be really down this year we would expect with them probably losing 90 plus games at least even in a terrible AL Central but what is the future for the white socks is this kind of like o Oakland Athletic situation where they're going to try and rebuild right now which will push their timeline back to possibly having a young core nucleus when they get the new stadium the new stadium by the way is not guaranteed and that's going to be something we're going to have to follow when it comes to the Chicago White Socks I'm not saying they're at risk of moving obviously the renderings have come out when the renderings come out the public immediately assumes the Stadium's going to happen that's just not the way it works there's a lot of things behind the scenes in terms of money that have to be maneuvered especially with the city of Chicago we don't know what's going on with the Bears stadium in terms of public money it has come out that maybe the Bear Stadium is going to be fully privately financed or at least mostly privately financed they said yeah Will chip in2 to $2.5 billion okay does that mean it's going to be fully privately financed or it's going to be you know kind of half public half private we don't know it's very important because the problem is if you're talking about a bear's new super stadium and a White Sox new stadium the people in Chicago undoubtedly are going to be more in favor of taxpayer money going to the Bears new stadium over the White Soxs Stadium the white socks are kind of this secondary team in Chicago when it comes to MLB with the Cubs and Wrigley Field being the 1A so if the Bears ask for public money and the White Soxs asked for public money there could be an issue in the White Soxs getting Stadium funds for a big development in a beautiful area everyone came out and alloted the potential new stadium and the location of it the question is are they going to get the money for it how is it going to be split public vers private if the Bears new stadium is fully privately Finance that's going to make it a lot easier for the White Sox to ask for public money uh but the question is what if the Bears do ask for money how does that set it up for the white socks and the white socks it's just remarkable how bad they're expected to be this year because again the AL Central is it's just not a good Division and they're still likely to lose 90 maybe 95 games they're going to finish I would assume with probably a bottom five a bottom six record their attendance is not going to be good it's not going to be horrible like the white sock are not going to finish I would say bottom four bottom three in terms of attendance those spots are reserved for the Rays for the Athletics and for the Marlins and the Marlins are another team that started off 0 and five I think the Marlins will they'll end up being maybe around 500 a few games under but that's not a good start either for them the Marlins in terms of their attendance it's always going to be bad I was actually surprised that the Marlins Drew 32k on opening day they didn't sell it out but I feel like 32k is decent enough for them either way these are two horrible situations with the Athletics and the White Soxs they both need new stadiums the Athletics obviously desperately need a new stadium and our planning on completely relocating depending on what happens with the lease we will see very likely I would say the Athletics will be playing in A Minor League Stadium next year and we also might get the Athletics completely rebranding when they move to Vegas with a brand new team name because the city of Oakland requested that if the lease extension happens in Oakland I think they should already Rebrand anyways honestly I just don't think like the Las Vegas A's bringing it over it really fits do a complete Rebrand kind of like you know the Las Vegas golden knights and and start fresh in Vegas of course Las Vegas the residents there they don't want the A's they want an expansion team they want a brand new situation with new players rather than bringing on the A's although you could argue it's very similar because roster is so depleted it's not like you're bringing a ton over you're just getting a bunch of younger players very likely by the time they start playing in in Las Vegas in 2028 if that actually ends up happening we will see we got the new renderings about a month ago on the potential ridiculous stadium that they're planning and right now both the Oakland Athletics and the Chicago White Sox are in horrible situations early on this season and I would not expect either of them obious viously the Athletics are we know for sure they're not going to be contending for anything outside of losing 110 games the White Sox I would say even though they're in a horrible division even though they're not as bad as the athletics they're going to be in a dire situation as well at least for the time being guys that's going to do it for this video make sure you follow me on X link to that's always in the
