They absolutely do. Katie and Devin. And all day long, we've been wa watching these debris piles grow and grow and grow and we've been hearing the wet vacs, um, humming and humming and humming as people try to get this nuisance water out of their home. That just is so frustrating. Take a look at um, one lady who we went into her home and, and she's trying to save, you know, the vinyl floors. But other people say when you walk on it, it just wishes with the water coming up. Now, uh Saint Charles Parish tells us anywhere from around 200 people on the East Bank took in water and 100 people on the West Bank took in water. And, um, i it's people what's so frustrating and for them is that they've had to rebuild and do this many, many times. Take a listen to what this one lady had to say. I moved here two years ago because I got flooded in Laplace two times. And when I got here, I'm like, all right, this is good and then this whole hurricane came and I got flooded again. So it's just, you know, all you can do is move on and keep it up. Put a smile on your face and walk, keep walking. It gets old though. It does, it does, I'm tired. I mean, I'm getting tired that, you know, at my age that I gotta deal with this. But you know what everything happens for a reason. And this video you're looking at now right next door to her is a house that already was approved for one of those grants elevation grants to raise your house. And if people want to apply for one of those, the numbers 985783 5000, and you need to ask for the grant department and all that is on their website. Although some people say it's and you know, four years before they hear back that they are approved. Now take a look at this graphic. We have, this is from the Saint Charles Parish website and uh on their home page under the Francine banner, they have this to talk about how you're supposed to separate the debris that you're pulling out of your home. They tell me they've already started collecting the debris, but please make sure that it's divided and you can go to their website and see exactly how to divide that. Now, I have to tell you something cute. One man drove by and he was just shaking his head. He just moved in the neighborhood this year and he was so frustrated and I said, how are you dealing with it? And he said, well, you know, I get mad but I'm Catholic and after I get mad, I go to confession and all the people here just, um, they just kind of take it in stride. They've just been really, really, um, good and optimistic about what they're having to go through time and time again. Reporting live from Norco, Meg, Farris, Wwl, Louisiana.
